This is cash that I have been given by various people both before and after the marathon. Today is exactly a week since I completed the marathon and I have decided carry on the running and of course I will still be thinking of Mum when I do xx
Jim your mum made us feel very welcome every time we met. Deirdre was a great woman and did an excellent job raising you and your brothers. We are deeply sorry for your loss and feel very fortunate to have known her.
Mum would have been the first to give you advice and cheer you on James. So if and when the going gets tough, think of her. Always the devoted mum whose boys gave her such pleasure, she was so proud of you all. We have lost a dear friend prematurely. We will miss her visits full of conversation and laughter but the fondest of memories remain. Our thoughts are with you David and the boys at this difficult time. John and Tricia.
I have many fond memories of Deirdre from my childhood from her enthusiastic dancing to a Stevie Wonder song at William's 8th?? birthday party much to his embarrassment, to being taken by Deirdre to the posh tea rooms in Buckingham which seemed like such a special treat. As a girl amongst a family of Renwick boys, Deirdre always gave me very special treatment when I visited the Renwick house which was always very lively, friendly and welcoming. Much of that was down to Deirdre's wonderful character. She will be sadly missed. A very special lady indeed.
Well done James - such a lovely tribute to your wonderful mum who will be so sadly missed. She was a caring and supportive friend and my life has been enriched through knowing her. She leaves many very happy shared experiences to remember her by.
Jim, your mum was a lovely, caring woman who always put her family and others first. She & David were generous hosts and I always felt very welcome in their home and enjoyed their company. My thoughts are with you, David and your brothers. She will be sorely missed by all of us.
